2020 Trends for Breast Augmentation - American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS)

For most of us, 2020 was a weird and hard year. For most people, it seemed to be stressful either financially or personally. As we navigate 2021 most of us our determined this year will be different. As we look back on 2020, the 2020 American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) Statistics were published. As on average, elective surgeries were shut down for over eight weeks, the numbers for breast augmentation are much lower than 2019. Below is the data from ASPS for review:

- 2015: 279,143    

- 2014: 286,254

- 2012: 286,274    

- 2011: 307,180    

- 2010: 296,203    

- 2009: 289,328    

- 2008: 307,230    

- 2007: 347,524    

- 2006: 329,000    

- 2005: 212,258    

- 2000: 212,500

As one may see, the trend for 2020 is down for breast augmentation by 33%.
