2020 Trends for Male Plastic Surgery - American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS)

Many elective and cosmetic surgeries were delayed in 2020 due to COVID-19 as most states shut down elective surgeries on average for eight weeks or more. As we look back on 2020, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) Statistics were published. The numbers for male plastic surgery are much lower than 2019. Below is the data from ASPS for review:

- 2017: 214,434

- 2016: 214,771 

- 2015: 207,869   

- 2014: 204,611   

- 2013: 204,032   

- 2012: 204,146   

- 2011: 204,359 

- 2010: 203,137    

- 2009: 199,655 

- 2008: 220,169 

- 2007:  232,619   

- 2006: 256,636    

- 2005: 284,542   

As one may see, the trend for 2020 is down for tummy tuck by 12%.
