A breast lift with implants is a procedure that restores breasts to a more youthful and perky appearance. Augmentation mastopexy balances the removal of stretched and damaged saggy skin with filling up the remaining skin with volume from an implant. This results in a more aesthetically pleasing and youthful breast contour, especially out-of-clothing.
Based on the patient history, age, and size of implants, Dr. Albright may suggest an internal bra to slow breast ptosis or sagging from occurring again. Here, Dr. William Albright of Alamo Plastic Surgery discusses what exactly is a breast lift and when you may need one.
If you are interested in an internal bra in the San Antonio or Austin area, Dr. William Albright can help you determine if this technology can benefit you. Get started by calling 210-670-5302 or contacting us at on our website - Alamo Plastic Surgery.
Technically, it is a mesh surgical implant that helps support supports, elevates and reinforces placement of the the implant or breast tissue. This GalaFlex mesh is FDA-approved and is made out of a bioresorbable biopolymer that over a period of 1 -2 years is safely reabsorbed by the body. The mesh piece is placed surgically during a breast augmentation or breast lift procedure. Dr. Albright offers the GalaFLEX™ Mesh for patients.
Mesh has been used for years for breast reconstruction cases, but it is only in the last ten years it has become routine in cosmetic breast surgery cases as well. Over the last several years the cost has become more affordable for cosmetic surgery. Typically an internal bra will add $3,000 - $4,000 to your procedure for the material cost (the mesh itself is very expensive), surgeon's time, and anesthesia's time.
